Nonotuck to Mandate Employee Vaccines by November 2021

Nonotuck Resources Associates announced this week that all of its more than 200 employees statewide will need to provide proof of vaccination by November 2021. Exceptions to the policy will be granted only for medical or religious reasons.

“As an organization whose core values are based on love, respect, and the interdependence we share, we have an obligation to the people we serve, their families, their caregivers, as well as our coworkers and the general public to protect their health and safety,” says Nonotuck CEO/President George H. Fleischner. “We’ve worked daily to ensure that Nonotuck employees and the people we serve—of which many are severely compromised—are safe. We’ve relied on scientific data to do so.  Currently, the data and science have proven that vaccinations are the most effective means of preventing serious illness, hospitalization, and death from Covid-19 and its more contagious Delta variant.”

For the past 18 months, Nonotuck has been proactive in keeping its community health through in-person mask mandates and social distancing requirements, remote work, telehealth for persons we serve, and now the vaccine mandate.

Nonotuck Resource Associates offers Shared Living, Adult Family Care, and personalized day services for people with disabilities. We provide support and services at locations across Massachusetts and we are the largest shared living organization in the state.
