Nonotuck Community Embraces Grief Education with 'The Grievery' Training Series
The Nonotuck community came together recently to make the first two sessions of "The Grievery" training series deeply meaningful. For those who missed these sessions, recordings are available for "The Grievery Kick-Off: Foundational Practices" and "Understanding Grief." You can also view them above and below.
Grief, a universal experience, affects us both personally and professionally. We aim to equip our community with essential skills to support one another through life's challenges with care and compassion.
The journey continues with monthly trainings, and we’re encouraging our community to participate. We’re looking for people who can commit to attending each session and are dedicated to learning how to navigate grief skillfully. The upcoming sessions will cover the following topics:
- Values + Personal Resources Inventory
- Active Listening
- Personal Care Plan
- Mindfulness
- Compassion
- Boundaries
- Rituals
- Communal Care Plan
These training sessions are designed to be impactful through discussion, reflection, and connection. They cater to both those who prefer to process quietly and those who engage more vocally. Grief encompasses more than the loss of a loved one; it includes regret for missed opportunities, heartbreak from broken relationships, and sadness about world events. Everyone's presence is valued, regardless of their role in our community or personal experiences.
If you are interested in joining this group, please email your interest. Monthly sessions will be scheduled at a time convenient for the majority.
Your participation in this important work is crucial. Together, we can build a compassionate and supportive community. For more information, email Jannelle Robinson.
