Barschdorf Promoted to QE

Nonotuck Resource Associates, Inc. is proud to announce the recent promotion of Kari Barschdorf to Quality Enhancement Associate. Kari has worked as a Care Manager in our Lee office since 2015 and will celebrate ten years with us in January.

Kari says she will bring her organizational skills honed from her years as a Care Manager to our Quality Enhancement (QE) department. “One of my favorite aspects of case management is auditing my records and those of others in my office,” she says. “I’ve also mentored a couple of new people in the agency, helping them develop. Those were my favorite parts of being a Care Manager, and I feel like I can expand upon that in the QE department.”

Kari adds that the QE position is also the perfect opportunity to grow within an organization she’s come to love. “My favorite thing about working at Nonotuck is, first, the people. I think Nonotuck has done a really great job of hiring people with shared values, which makes working together—not seamless or effortless, but it helps,” she says. “It’s unique that people are vetted at the beginning to make sure they’re a good fit.”

Director of QE Grayson Fleischner was part of the team that hired Kari. “Kari has always impressed me with her steadfast dedication to our community and her constant efforts to better our systems. She understands that improving these systems makes a direct impact on the lives of the people we support,” he says. “She is proactive in her thinking and person-centered in her approach. I think that her strong values and tireless drive are exactly what we need in this role, and I’m excited to see where she takes it.”

Kari has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Westfield State and lives in Lanesboro with her husband and two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and going to comedy shows and concerts.
