Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Nonotuck Resource Associates is deeply committed to diversity, equity,  inclusion, and belonging within the organization. To ensure that we are meeting our goals of creating a community that is comfortable for everyone, we founded the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging committee.  The committee is co-chaired by Nichole Bourke and Jannelle Robinson, who were both honored with the  2022 ADDP DEI & B Award.

The committee helps us in fostering and maintaining a work environment where diversity, equity and inclusion are fully integrated into everything we do for the benefit of our employees and the people that we serve. 

Nonotuck welcomes people from all backgrounds and walks of life, and this is reflected in our largely diverse community. We prioritize diversity in our hiring practices; roughly half of the Nonotuck workforce is comprised of people who identify as African American, Asian, American Indian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino. We continue to strive to provide space for the voices of people of color to be heard every day, with community-wide events and initiatives that we are perpetually expanding. We regularly celebrate events like LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, and Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander heritage month as an organization.
