Everyone deserves a life shaped by personal choice, grounded in authentic relationships, and enriched by connection and belonging. At the heart of Nonotuck’s work are our shared values—authenticity, mutual love and respect, interdependence, and the courage to be vulnerable—because these are the foundations of real community and of home.
We all thrive when surrounded by people who believe in us and make space for joy, growth, and belonging. For some, that means living in homes where support and daily life are shared—where caregivers live with the person served, not apart. This shared life model sets Nonotuck apart from traditional group homes, allowing relationships to grow naturally out of companionship, trust, and mutual respect.
At Nonotuck Resource Associates, we partner with adults with medical, intellectual, developmental, and/or mental health disabilities to create lives of meaning and belonging. Through Shared Living, Adult Family Care, and individualized Day Services, people live and grow in homes and communities where they are truly known and valued.
Because a good life isn’t built in programs or places—it’s built in relationships, in the freedom to make choices, and in the feeling of home.
Shared Living
Shared Living brings together a person, a couple, or a family in the community with a person who has a disability to share their lives in an authentic, loving, and respectful relationship of mutual dependence.
